Confidentiality

Our services are confidential and your privacy will be respected at all times.

We’re happy to see people of any age, including those who are below the legal age of consent and thinking about having sex, at SHiP.

Anything you tell us in clinic will be kept confidential. This means that we will not share the information you give us unless we feel there is a reason to be concerned about your safety and well-being, or the safety and well-being of someone else, or if the law requires us to share the information.

If we do need to share information with other professionals, we will try to inform you before doing so.

Alternative providers

In addition, some contraception and STI services are also offered by enhanced pharmacy providers. Your own GP might be an enhanced service GP and also offer these services.

About the SHiP partnership

Sexual Health in Plymouth (SHiP) is a partnership of experienced organisations working together to deliver integrated sexual health, HIV, contraception and abortion services for Plymouth, East Cornwall and South West Devon:
